Hands of Transition is a collaborative project that supports more grounded and community-centred conversations on India’s food and energy transition. As the AI and data partner for the initiative, LibTech contributes to building systems for social listening, media tracking and narrative analysis across policy debates, mainstream and regional media, public discourse, social media and grassroots networks. The project uses AI-assisted monitoring, data analysis, policy tracking and field insights to identify emerging narratives, missing voices, information gaps and opportunities for public communication on themes such as fertiliser use, cropping patterns, agroecology, farmer livelihoods, renewable energy and climate-resilient agriculture. Working with communicators, civil society groups, researchers, farmer organisations and other partners, the project generates evidence-based insights, supports rapid responses to emerging issues, and strengthens narratives that place farmers, traditional knowledge holders and frontline communities at the centre of just and sustainable transitions.
